Kirsty Burnett with community leader turning on the water tap, Baucau, Timor-Leste, 2015

Kirsty understands MFAT’s drivers and requirements, so when we were asked to

refresh a MERL Framework in order to get information that would better inform decision making, her advice hit the mark. By asking the right questions, we were able to make relatively small, but important changes

Dr Alan Pearson, Prime Consulting International Ltd

Our project improvement service helps our clients to:

  • understand the reasons their projects are experiencing problems and recommend ways to overcome them

  • use monitoring information collected to strengthen their MERL framework to better measure project results (e.g. articulate more specific indicators, set realistic targets, and collect more relevant data

  • implement recommendations from a review of the project, the donor or project steering committee

  • make and implement plans to re-direct their effort and resources, or seek more or different resources

  • communicate with their stakeholders, and manage their expectations

  • comply with their donor’s requirements and meet their expectations.
