Paul Brown

Paul has an MBA, BE (Civil), MInstD, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of

Company Directors (GAICD). He has combined these with a blend of both commercial and for-purpose experience, working in the automotive, financial services and international development sectors. Paul has held key leadership positions, including being CEO for 16+ years of an international development agency, senior roles within multinationals, and governance positions including chairing a peak body.

As Strategic Advisor, Paul applies critical insights and transformative thinking to assist businesses to remain relevant, sustainable and impactful. Much of this work is at the intersection of the social sector with purpose-driven corporations.


Paul has a passion for lifelong learning and has participated in the One Planet Leaders programme at IMD Business School; Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Non-Profit Organisations programme at the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; Impact Measurement and Management and the Sustainable Development Goals through Duke University.



In 2020 Paul established Paul Brown Consulting to provide strategy review and alignment, complex stakeholder management, resource optimisation, Building innovative cultures and business transformation services. These sum to advising leaders and governance to make decisions by leveraging critical insights from the past and applying foresight for future impact and performance.


When not working Paul can be found training for the next running event, he ran the New York marathon in 2019 to raise funds for ChildFund New Zealand.
