Mandy Whyte

An experienced team leader, policy adviser, and program manager Mandy Whyte has

lived and worked in Asia and the Pacific supporting a broad range of sectors for

governments, the private sector, and NGOs.



She provides management support services to development projects, although she has expertise in programming, social inclusion, and small business and local economic

development.




These services have included:

  • Programme start-up – preparation and review of design documents and implementation plans, operations manuals

  • Programme management – strategy and planning, operations oversight, government and stakeholder relations, human resources, communications

  • Programme management services – restructuring, problem analysis, review of core documents (design, plans, strategies, reports, manuals)

  • Programme closedown – managing contract closures, asset disposal, data management and handover, preparation of the final reports.

Mandy has also supported programmes with research and analysis work such as:

  • Researching forestry programs for a contractor in Indonesia

  • Writing lessons and learning documents for UNDP in Disaster Risk Reduction financing

  • Co-writing a policy on Preschool Education Management for Timor-Leste

  • Analyses of workforce shortages in dairy farming and in health for a vocational education trust in New Zealand.

She has an M. Phil (Development Studies); a B. Social Work; and a Dip. Journalism.
